In his new film Trance, director Danny Boyle abandons the exotic settings of his last films ("Slumdog Millionaire" and "127 Hours") to return to his native London, the scene of his big hit "Trainspotting", to adapt a 2003 UK film ... with his particular style.

Starring James McAvoy, Vincent Cassel and Rosario Dawson, Trance tells the story of Simon (McAvoy), an auctioneer of art supplies, who teams up with a criminal gang for a million pound heist ... with such bad luck that after stealing the picture that was going to raise him out of poverty, a blow to the head makes him forget where he hid it. When threats and physical torture fail no response, the leader of the gang (Cassel) hires a hypnotherapist (Dawson) to poke in the darkest recesses of Simon's psyche.
